- LONDON WAS A FEAST
it was a indeed a feast for the eyes - a very quick trip but filled with gorgeous jewelry - mostly rings, of course - and so many incredible artists! it was the best! first stop was wednesday night in a beautiful house in notting hill. the private viewing with the talented jet mcquiston , emefa cole , shola branson and castro smith . here are some of the pieces i tried on and dreamed about! first up is jet - her work is perfection, filled with details and special symbolism all around: next i tried on emefa's chunky and heavy and marvellous rings! they are a direct reflection of the forces of nature, her heritage and culture: then came the time to try on shola's magical and perfect rings: completely precious and the stones are to die for!! and finally castro's epic carved rings, each one more amazing than the other - he is such a marvellous character and it was amazing to talk to him! there's lot more to share and i'll be doing this over the next few days! bisous!
- BAGUE EXTRAORDINAIRE
a few months ago I received a very special invitation by the Head Curator at Cluster Jewellery, Eleonora Varotto: she invited me to participate in their jewelry fair which takes place in London from december 13 to 18. together we decided that I would create a special award to be given to the most beautiful ring in the event, according to me! the winner will also be on my page on instagram and we will have an interview which I will share here on the blog. at this moment I am looking over the work of all participants and I must admit this is going to be a tough job since there are so many beautiful pieces. together with my designer we came up with a very elegant certificate which will be printed and given to the artist on december 17 during the event. I will participate in the opening which takes place on friday , december 13, and I cannot wait to see everything in person. of course I will be sharing all of my adventures here on the blog and also on instagram. stay tuned! bisous! (if you click on the image a link will take you directly to my page on the Cluster Jewellery website)

the story behind fancythisrings & eliane about fancythisrings @fancythisrings was created in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. Eliane has always loved rings, and, on a whim, decided to create a page dedicated to them. she had no idea how to do it so she just went for it! the page has recently celebrated its 4-year anniversary and Eliane could not be happier with this community that she has become a part of. for her, it is a privilege talking to (and meeting) so many incredible people and this is something that she truly appreciates and looks forward to every single day. she is proud to have created what one can call a 'digital gallery' of 5K rings (and counting), and an overall positive space for everyone to enjoy and for artists to use as a reference as well. her pleasure is also to showcase new talent and independent artists above all. about eliane Eliane de Luca Peres was born in São Paulo, Brazil - she has lived in Sweden, Panama and Canada - and currently lives in the south of France, in 'La Ville Rose', Toulouse. she has extensive experience working in the Communications/PR departments of prestigious advertising agencies in São Paulo, Brazil, including Ogilvy & Mather, McCann-Erickson, DDB, and Leo Burnett. alongside her advertising career, she has harbored a deep passion for extravagant, distinctive, bold, innovative, and audacious jewelry, particularly rings. nowadays, when she is not searching for rings, Eliane is an english and spanish tutor to kids and teens, does translations for the ad market in Brazil and writes for her fixed column in the parisian-based magazine Salut les Garçons.
